Luv2Stamp Group Blog Hop February 2022

Welcome to the Luv 2 Stamp Group’s 2022 Blog Hop! We are excited to share projects with you again this year. We hope to inspire you to create beautiful new projects. Each month we will have a different theme based on the next month’s celebrations using Stampin’ Up! products.

Once you are done with each post, scroll down to the bottom and you will see a list of Blog Hop participants, you can click on their name to go to their post, or you can click the next button to go to the next post in line. Happy crafting! This month’s theme is Celebrating Women.

The Flowing Flowers stamp set is perfectly feminine and pretty so I knew that I had to use that for this month’s theme. I wanted to create a card that has a slightly vintage, shabby chic vibe but still has an overall fresh look. I just love the new layering designs vellum and I think adding this is the perfect way to achieve that. This card will be sent to someone who has many things to celebrate, mainly herself!!

Measurements:

Fresh Freesia - 4.25” x 11”, scored at 5.5”

Heart & Home DSP Mat - 4” x 5.5”

Basic White Mat - 3.75” x 5”; 4” x 5.25” (2 pieces); scrap for sentiment

Layering Designs Vellum - 3.25” x 4.75”

Stamping:

Use one of the 4” x 5.25” pieces for stamping the flowers.

Apply ink to the stamps using a sponge dauber. The flowers are stamped in Fresh Freesia and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz. Fussy cut the flowers.

Stamp the sentiment on a strip of Basic White using  Garden Green ink and trim strip as desired.

Stamp the card insert if desired.

Assembly:

Adhere the DSP mat to the card base, leaving a border on each side.

Adhere the 3.75” x 5” Basic White mat to the DSP centering so that there are equal borders top and bottom as well as left and right.

Adhere the vellum mat over the Basic White mat leaving an equal border around the edges. Be sure to apply the adhesive just to the area where the flowers will be glued in order to conceal the adhesive.

Layer the flowers so that they are sitting in the lower side of the card. Be sure to pop the larger flowers on dimensionals.

Attach the sentiment to the card.

Add some bling for the finishing touches!

Thank you so much for hopping along with us today! Jessye is up next and I know you will love what she has to share!! You can click the next picture below or click on her name in the list below.
